Slovenia climate

Despite its small size, Slovenia packs three distinct climate zones: Alpine conditions in the Julian Alps, a Mediterranean climate along its Adriatic coastline, and a continental climate across the eastern lowlands.

Slovenia is one of the wettest countries in Europe, with the Bovec area receiving over 3,000mm annually. Autumn is the wettest season.

Summers across the interior are warm and pleasant with average highs of 25-28°C. The short coastline around Piran enjoys mild winters rarely dropping below 5°C.
