Ivory Coast Weather Forecast
Live weather data for Ivory Coast powered by Weather Scope
Ivory Coast, also known as C\u00f4te d'Ivoire, has a tropical climate that transitions from the humid equatorial south to the drier Sudanese savanna in the north. The southern coast around Abidjan receives approximately 1,800mm of rainfall annually, distributed across two rainy seasons. Temperatures along the coast remain warm and stable, ranging from 24-30°C year-round, with high humidity that can make conditions feel considerably hotter.
The central region around Yamoussoukro experiences a transitional climate with a less pronounced dry season than the north. The western mountainous area near Man and the Guinean highlands receives abundant rainfall, supporting dense tropical forest. In the northern savanna zone around Korhogo, a single rainy season from June to October delivers 1,000-1,400mm, and the dry harmattan winds from December to February bring hazy skies and cooler nighttime temperatures.
Ivory Coast is the world's largest cocoa producer, and its agricultural economy is highly sensitive to rainfall timing and intensity. Shifting weather patterns can devastate harvests, making accurate forecasting critically important. Weather Scope provides live weather radar and detailed forecasts to help farmers, residents, and businesses across Ivory Coast prepare for seasonal rains, dry spells, and intense tropical thunderstorms.
