Campeche climate

Campeche has a tropical climate with consistently warm temperatures averaging 26-28°C throughout the year. Humidity is high year-round due to the state's extensive Gulf of Mexico coastline and low-lying terrain across the Yucatan Peninsula.

The rainy season from June through October brings heavy tropical downpours and accounts for about 80% of the annual 1,000-1,500mm of rainfall. Tropical storms and hurricanes from the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico pose significant risks during this period.

The dry season from November to April features lower humidity and pleasant temperatures, though cold fronts known as "nortes" occasionally sweep down from the north, bringing brief periods of cooler weather and gusty winds to the coastal areas.
