About Windhoek weather

Windhoek is in Namibia at -22.56°, 17.08°. Right now it’s 25° and partly cloudy; today’s high is 30° with a 50% chance of rain.

Namibia is one of the driest countries in sub-Saharan Africa, with the ancient Namib Desert along its Atlantic coast being one of the oldest and most arid deserts on Earth. The cold Benguela Current flowing northward along the coast creates persistent fog banks that roll inland, providing the primary moisture source for unique fog-dependent desert ecosystems. Rainfall increases from virtually zero at the coast to around 600mm in the northeast Caprivi Strip, with the summer rainy season running from October to April.
