Bangladesh Weather Radar

Live radar for Bangladesh powered by Weather Scope

Bangladesh has a tropical monsoon climate characterized by high temperatures, heavy rainfall, and pronounced humidity throughout much of the year. Situated on the vast Ganges-Brahmaputra Delta, the country is one of the most flood-prone nations on Earth, with annual monsoon rains inundating large portions of the low-lying landscape.

The monsoon season from June to October delivers approximately 80% of the country's annual rainfall, with some northeastern areas receiving over 5,000 mm per year. A brief, mild winter from November to February provides the most comfortable weather, with cooler temperatures and significantly reduced rainfall across the country.

Bangladesh is highly vulnerable to tropical cyclones that form in the Bay of Bengal, particularly during the pre-monsoon period in April-May and the post-monsoon months of October-November. The Sylhet region in the northeast receives some of the heaviest rainfall in the world, while the western districts experience comparatively drier conditions and greater temperature extremes.
