14-Day GFS Forecast Overlays in Weather Scope
14-Day GFS Forecast Overlays Are Now in Weather Scope
Weather Scope now includes 17 new 14-day GFS forecast overlays, giving you a more visual way to explore long-range forecast data directly on the map. Whether you want to track temperature trends, wind fields, humidity, pressure, precipitation accumulation, air quality, or dust and smoke, the new GFS overlay suite helps you understand changing conditions faster.
This update was designed to make forecast visualization easier to use and easier to read. You can quickly switch between overlays, view forecast data more efficiently, and compare multiple weather variables without digging through extra menus.
What are the new 14-day GFS forecast overlays?
The new Weather Scope GFS overlay set includes 17 forecast layers:
Temperature, Cloud Cover, Wind Speed, Wind Gusts, Feels Like, Dew Point, Humidity, Pressure, CAPE, Visibility, Precipitation Accumulation, Snow Depth, UV Index, Soil Temperature, Wave Height, AQI Forecast, and Dust & Smoke.
These overlays help turn raw forecast data into a cleaner map experience, so you can better understand both everyday conditions and more advanced weather patterns over the next 14 days.
Why this update matters
Long-range forecast data is useful, but only if it is easy to interpret. With these new overlays, Weather Scope makes it simpler to visualize changing weather conditions over time and across large areas. Instead of relying on a single forecast number, you can explore how different forecast variables interact on the map.
That means a better experience for users who want more than a basic daily forecast. It also means faster access to the details that matter, whether you are watching temperature swings, tracking wind setup, checking visibility trends, monitoring air quality, or reviewing marine conditions like wave height.
